Day 1: Arrival in Lucknow & Drive to Nepalgunj

This is the first day of our journey. We will meet early in the morning at the designated place given to you by our team during booking and will have a short orientation on the basics of the journey. Our team of professionals will also check for your proper documentation and equipment.
After the checks, we will finally move towards Nepalgunj. Today, we will be travelling for about 5-6 hours by bus.
Day 2: Flight to Simikot from Nepalgunj

On this day, we will be travelling by air. We will travel through a 1-hour domestic flight to Simikot, where we will be staying today. As the weather can be unpredictable, the flight timings will be adjusted as per the weather conditions. So, we may even face a delay of about 1-2 days.
Day 3: Flight from Simikot to Hilsa

- Primary travel mode: Helicopter
On this day too, we will be travelling by flight. From Simikot, we will fly in a helicopter to Hilsa, enjoying the scenic mountains.
Today, we will cross over to China after a permit and documentation check at the Hilsa border.
Day 4: Drive from Hilsa to reach Taklakot
- Overnight stay: Taklakot
- Primary travel mode: Bus
Today, we will be enjoying a short, restful drive of about 45 minutes to reach Taklakot. We will be visiting local places like tourist attractions and markets, primarily by walking. This will help us to adjust to the weather and the climate.
Day 5: Drive from Taklakot to Mansarovar
- Highest elevation: 4,670m
- Overnight stay: Darchen
- Primary mode of travel: Bus
- Approximate travel distance: 110km
Today too, we have a short trip of about 2 hours to reach Lake Mansarovar. We will have the full day for exploration at Mansarovar lake. Additionally, we will take part in ritual bathing and meditation by the sacred lake.(Pilgrims are no longer allowed to bathe in the lake)
Day 6: Drive from Mansarovar to Darchen
Today, we will move towards Darchen from Mansarovar by bus. We will stop at various attractions like Rakshas taal and Chiu Gompa monastery. These places are also regarded as hidden gems near Darchen.
We will be staying at Darchen today. This day is also the preparation day for the Kailash Parikrama(kora) as we will start kora the next day.
Day 7: Darchen → Dira puk

- Approximate travel distance: 8km (Bus), 7km (Trek)
We finally start the Kailash Parikrama on this day. We will travel clockwise through the following places to complete the parikrama.
This is the first day of the Kailash Parikrama, also known as Kora. We begin this day with a drive from DARCHEN to YAMADWAR. The Parikrama starts from here. Pilgrims can opt out of this step. If they opt out from the kora, they are taken back to Darchen. The others carry on with the kora with a trek from YAMADWAR to DIRA PUK.
Day 8: Dira Puk → Zutul Puk

- Overnight stay: Darchen or Zutul Puk
- Primary travel mode: Trek
- Approximate travel distance: 22km
This is the second and the most challenging day of the Kailash Parikrama. On this day, we will continue on with the kora with a trek starting at 4am. During this trek we will cross the DOLMA LA (5,630 m) border and descend to ZUTUL PUK(4,700 m).
If we reach ZUTUL PUK by 2-3pm, we will continue our journey to DARCHEN without halt. Else, if we reach ZUTUL PUK later than 3-4 pm, we will stay the night at ZUTUL PUK.
Day 9: Zutul Puk → Darchen → Taklakot

- Primary travel mode: Trek and Bus
- Approximate travel distance: 8km (Trek), 150km(Bus)
This is the final day of the Kailash Parikrama. This day’s trek is an easy one through red and gold cliffs. If we stay in ZUTUL PUK the previous day, we will continue our journey at 7am with a trek back to DARCHEN. This marks the end of the Kailash Parikrama.
After reaching DARCHEN, we will indulge in local cuisine for lunch. After lunch, we will finally reach Taklakot with a drive from DARCHEN.
Day 10: Drive from Takalkot to Hilsa and a helicopter flight from Hilsa to Simikot

With this day, we are already on the return journey. We will leave early in the morning with a drive to Hilsa. We will go through immigration checks from both the Chinese and Nepalese immigration officers at the Hilsa border. After entering Nepal, we will get on a flight to Simikot where we will be staying tonight. We will explore the local market and shop for souvenirs here.
Day 11: Fly from Simikot to Nepalgunj and Drive to Lucknow

This is the last day of our journey. We will start early in the morning with a flight from Simikot to Nepalgunj. After reaching Nepalgunj, we will continue our journey with a drive to finally reach Lucknow.
After reaching Lucknow, we will safely drop you at your accommodation in Lucknow and then part ways till your next journey with us.
